Six years ago, I wanted to give my daughter Rachael a special birthday present. When I was ten, my favorite Uncle Charlie had subscribed in my name, for a science kit each month. Each month I opened the surprise package which I had forgotten was on the way, and learned about geology, and meteorology, and botany, and on and on, exploring the natural world.
Rachael likes doing arts and crafts, and so I thought it would be easy to find something like this for her on the internet. I was wrong. Each month we went to a local toy store, and picked out a craft kit. Here is a picture of Rachael with one of the kits.

I said to myself, "Why not start a business like this, on the internet,
perfect for people like my Uncle Charlie, who lived in Ohio, while I lived in
upstate New York." Rachael likes craft kits, and could read, little kids,
boys and girls, like craft kits, and older kids, like myself when I was a
pre-teen, like science kits. With the help of the store owner, I started
the business. Now I am on my own.
Each kit encourages the child to explore a science or a craft, to create something. The Craft kits are high quality, and distributed by such well known names as Curiosity Kits®, Alex® and Creativity for Kids®. We offer a similar set of monthly science kits for children able to read. Some of our sources for science kits are Scientific Explorer and the Wild Goose Company. You can find them in any of the better toy stores, and you can find them on the net.
